A popular public radio host and respected interviewer, Donna Apidone has built a reputation for being truthful, reliable and funny. A certified life coach, she is author of TransForMission, a guide for anyone looking to discover their purpose in life.

Donna grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and Baltimore, MD. As a child, she recalls her father telling her as she left for school each day: “You can do anything you set your mind to do.” Years later, she developed the TransForMission Path™ to help others realize their potential. For 10 years, she has led workshops and coached individuals seeking to discover their highest purpose for the good of the world.

In TransForMission, Donna, shares the journeys of 11 people who moved beyond their limitations, found inspiration and discovered their purpose to make the world a better place. TransForMission details five steps anyone can use to find inspiration and their unique purpose in life.

A respected journalist, Donna hosts NPR’s Morning Edition and classical music programming and interviews authors at Capital Public Radio in Sacramento, Calif. Donna traces her love of radio to when she was 14 and visited a family friend at a Cleveland radio station. "From then on, I was hooked," she says. After working in commercial radio and corporate public relations, Donna discovered the joys of public radio. She has been an announcer and fundraiser at public stations for more than 20 years. She came to Capital Public Radio in 1998 and has hosted Morning Edition since 2001.

Donna is also an ordained interfaith minister who performs ceremonies from weddings and memorials to blessings of babies, homes and pets. She serves on the board of directors of a national animal rescue organization and an interfaith organization. A professional speaker and presenter, she has many years of experience speaking to audiences large and small.

Donna graduated from Ohio University and did graduate work in journalism at Kent State University. She studied with Dr. Maria Nemeth for two years on her path to become a certified life coach. She also studied at an interfaith seminary and was ordained as an interfaith minister in New York City. She has lived in Northern California since 1998. For more information, visit www.X4Mission.com
